Looking for a sweet escape?

12 Jan

Another favourite spot!

Smoking area

Spot bagus! *Kalimat saya agak-agak aneh deh..:)

How to call the waiters!

Pernikahan bahagia?

See? That is why I do really like ‘latte’! And happy for them!

Latte Raspberyy

Ih, rasanya unik deh. Latte favorit saya dicampur saus raspberry di bagian bawah.   Kalau belum coba, rasanya gak kebayang, kan?

Kentang Goreng seperti biasa....:D

Pisang Goreng Panas Dingin

Cemilan kesukaan kami ini. Gak di mana gak di mana, kentang goreng aja lah! Dan, saya mau agak jayus nih. Jangan lupa bawa selimut sama air dingin buat kompres. Pisang gorengnya lagi agak demam. Ha ha ha… *ketawa pelan

A bit of narcississm inside me! Anyway, if you need a place to escape, that would be nice to be there as we did and enjoy the private ambiance!

At least I’ve tried Italian Food!

10 Jan

I almost forgot that actually I have been to Italian restaurant located in Gandaria City (a new landmark mall in south Jakarta) level bla bla bla (I’m an absent-minded, totally. Pardon)

So, as I remember, I uploaded some pictures when I ate the food there.

Its name was GioVanese. If you have credit card from certain banks, you can get special discount. I got almost half price. Sounds interesting? Yes, it is since the food priced from Rp30rb–Rp60rb and for me it is a bit expensive.

Italian food tasted salty and my tongue couldn’t help that kind of spices. I had eaten conch/snail like we used to call “keong sawah” in my hometown, but in this restaurant I tasted it not so good as I tried before.

Here you go, taco! I really love it! Thin and soft crepes combined with slices of tomatoes and other veggies. Plus, unique sauce.

I forgot what is this but I remembered, it tasted sooo goood! I think there is a bit of crunchiness from apple and fruits.

How to move Jakartans out of the city?

9 Jan

It sounds weird, but it is true. I could say that I had tried to move Jakartans out of the city!

Me and my boyfriends were very confused about where our wedding will take place, in Jakarta or Indramayu (my hometown). We had gone many places in Jakarta which is possible for us to hold the wedding, Bella Rossa in Jeruk Purut, Omah Pawon in Ampera and Pasar Minggu, Omah Sendok in Senopati (Senayan street), and many other places. We’ve done with consideration that we need places with Java ethnic  architecture and the party could be held outdoor spaces.

The problem we faced was how many people we will invite? Were we going to invite all relatives, friends, and coworkers in Jakarta, Cirebon, and Indramayu? Wow, it would be more than 600 people! Considering our budget, it is impossible for us to make it. We shall find out how to deal with the problem. It would be inconvenient if we only invite relatives and close friends. It is unfair. So after a long conversation and thinking, we decided to make the wedding in Indramayu.

At first time we decided it, we were doubtful since it will be taking much time for friends to be at my wedding. FYI, it takes about 3 hours trip with bus or train from Gambir, Jakarta to Jatibarang. So they may need more than half day to attend our wedding. But, we finally did it.

Some friends ensure that they are able to come to my wedding out of the city. They had already order the rental Bigbird’s bus. And they asked me what we need as our wedding’s presents. And of course, I said “sofa!” :D

Another goodnews had come. Other friends confirmed that they also will come to our wedding from Jakarta. It is a big, a huge presents from God that He sent it at the right time. Thanks, God!

I would like to thanks all my friends who will be there, at our wedding, who prepare it well and make it real.

See you on Sunday, January 29th 2012, pals!

Cheers!

FYI, here is my wedding invitation drawn by my lovely sister (Ms. Tia), designed by me (edited using picnik.com) , and printed by Eki (my boyfriend’s friend who has printing company). I was inspired by the album cover of my favorite humble duo, Endah and Rhesa.

Am I really ready for it?

9 Jan

I now feel so doubtful when I had my mind remember everything I did in my previous life.  I haven’t done anything. I think I got to get more time to fix it. But it is too late. In next 3 weeks I start my new life with someone beside me along my life. I will not be able to go somewhere by myself anymore. I could not be an arrogant person as I did to myself before.

I was an arrogant (in my very subjective opinion) and because of that I didn’t have many friends. Yes I have friends, good friends, yet most of them are male.

Back then I realize that somehow I need someone to avoid me from being unstable character. He is the one who always beside me even when I feel really bad, even if I do rude action or words. He’s always there, never leave me, even I almost leave him for a reason.

He was not the perfect person. He wasn’t my ideal future husband in.   But I have to make sure that I hadn’t make wrong decision in my life.

Is he the one I really could count on? Is he the one I was dreaming of? Would he be the right husband, father from my children, and always be patient for everything I do?

Am I really ready for it?

Year of my journey with Indian Food at Ganesha

9 Jan

Year 2011 actually became my year of journey with Indian  food. I have had gone to some places in Jakarta served Indian’s food: Komala at Sarinah’s building (a family Indian restaurant with vegetarian menus), Gokul at Wijaya Music 4th floor in Passer Baroe (also Indian’s vegetarian menus), and Ganesha at BRI II Building and Kemang (south and north Indian food). I prefer Ganesha at BRI II or Kemang as my favorite places to eat that kind of food.

At first time I ate Indian food, I feel so dizzy with kind of spices they had in their food. Food is tasted good but I feel weird about the spices. It is like when you eat wasabi or local spices in tropical countries. But after more than four times I have been that restaurants, I am already used to it. It felt so good. I wanted to eat and eat it more and more. Trust me!

As end of the year, me and my future husband wanted to have lunch at Ganesha. They had buffet lunch menus for each person Rp120.000++. So, here are some pictures of it.

I had made reservation for 2 persons there. The waitress are so fine to us. At the time we came, she welcomed us well. Since the foods were served in buffet, she tried to explained us every food they served. Later, an Indian chef came to us and offered us to try lamb steak. I refused to eat since I didn’t really like lamb. So, we started with lentil mixed with veggie and potatoes grilled. Hmm… it is so yummy….:)

Yoghurt are Indian favorite! I really love it when they put yoghurt into a crunchy crepes mixed with sweet sauce and green sauce. And also, the lentil.

These crunchy crepes are really tasted goodddddd……

Black lentils with strange sauce and also tasted very good!

Another lentils with different kind of sauces but I still didn’t know it yet. I was just enjoying it.

Actually, I prefer BRI II building (8 or 9th floor) than Kemang (4th floor)

And this is me in front of the restaurant before going home! Happy new year, everyone! 2012 will be my journey with another foreign food: Middle East, Italian, or else.
